ease.L was an exploration in Children’s Furniture design using compression / tension construction I completed during my undergraduate studies.
Children’s easels are normally not considered “furniture.” They are full of entrapment areas & pinch points for the head & hands. ease.L was designed to the much safer standards of children’s furniture.
Product Features
Safe
Unlike the products currently on the market, children can safely change the angle of the drawing board without adult assistance due to a spring-loaded fabric pulley system.
The fabric is easily removed for cleaning by removing two dowel rods.
All exposed hardware requires a hex wrench, making it harder for inquisitive young minds to tamper with.
The materials contain no melamine, PVC, or other known carcinogens or endocrine disruptors.
Adjustable
Parents are able to raise the axis as their child grows, significantly prolonging the life of the easel. In addition, the easel can be quickly knocked down flat, making moving or storage between children easier.
