Venetian Coral Pendant
Algorithmically Designed Lampshade
I created this pendant style lampshade from my memories of Venice. It is inspired by the swirling forms of vases I saw being created while visiting the glass factories on the island of Murano.
Process
The shade was created algorithmically, via Grasshopper & Rhino3D, from a module created using an existing bus shelter concept.

Model
The model was made using a FDM 3D printer, using a bio-base PLA filament. A slightly off-white filament was used so that it would “glow” with the slightly pink hue typical of true coral shades.
